  2. Soil Preparation: Lo-Hugger prefers acidic, well-drained soil that stays evenly moist. Mix peat or composted pine bark into the planting area, avoid lime or alkaline amendments, and avoid spots that become waterlogged.
  3. Planting: Dig a hole wider than the root ball and just as deep, setting the plant level with the ground. It stays about 6 inches tall and spreads 2 to 3 feet wide, so space plants about 2 feet apart for groundcover.
